How Borizo researches and updates its content
So you can judge how much to rely on what you read here.
The principles
Primary sources
Every legal or regulatory claim links to a primary source: the bill text, statute, regulator or utility document. Secondary sources are labeled as such.
Last reviewed dates
Pages about laws, rules or certifications show the date we last checked their claims against the sources.
Spec-based comparisons
Kit comparisons use published specs and listing details unless a page says we tested the product hands-on.
Certifications
We list certifications only as the manufacturer or listing states them, and we say when we could not verify one.
Independence
Affiliate commissions do not decide whether a product appears or how it ranks, and they never affect what we report about the law.
Corrections
Laws on plug-in solar change often. If you spot an error or an outdated rule, we fix confirmed errors and update the Last reviewed date.
Use of AI tools
We may use software tools, including AI, to help research and draft. A person on the Borizo Editorial Team checks every legal and safety claim against its source before it is published.
